You can enjoy these heavenly fluffy sweet treats within only a little more than 1 hour. But don't skip our secret ingredient – Salted Caramel Syrup. It gives the cinnamon rolls this little special something. You'll love it!

Cinnamon Rolls

INGREDIENTS

Dough:

  • 350g Flour
  • 1 pinch of TASTEOLOGY Great Barrier Reef Rock Salt
  • 1 sachet Dry Yeast 
  • 240g Milk of choice (e.g. soy), warmed up
  • 45g Sugar, e.g. TASTEOLOGY Vanilla & Rose Australian Cane Sugar
  • 50g (vegan) Butter, melted 

Filling:

  • 40g (vegan) Butter, melted 
  • 70g TASTEOLOGY Cinnamon Australian Cane Sugar 
  • 4tsp TASTEOLOGY Salted Caramel Syrup

Topping:

  • TASTEOLOGY Salted Caramel Syrup

 

STEPS

  1. Give warm milk in a bowl and mix with sugar and yeast. Let it sit for 5 minutes.
  2. Put flour in another bowl, mix with a pinch of TASTEOLOGY Great Barrier Reef Rock Salt. Add melted butter & yeast mixture and mix until you have a smooth dough.
  3. Let your dough rise for 30 minutes covered with a towel in a warm place.
  4. Preheat oven to 200 °C.
  5. Mix melted butter with TASTEOLOGY Salted Caramel Syrup and TASTEOLOGY Cinnamon Australian Cane Sugar until it is a smooth spread.
  6. Roll out your dough on a floured surface (around 2cm thick). 
  7. Spread your filling evenly on your dough. Roll your dough up and cut with a sharp knife carefully into even sized slices (around 12 rolls).
  8. Place your cinnamon rolls in a mold or on a baking tray lined with baking paper a nd let them rise for 10 minutes again (optional, depending how much time you have).
  9. Bake them in the oven for around 15 minutes or until they are golden brown.
  10. Take them out of the oven, let them cool down a little bit and sprinkle with TASTEOLOGY Salted Caramel Syrup to taste. Enjoy them still warm!
